Nida became an Autogenic Therapist after personally experiencing the benefits of Autogenics. Her early career was as a nurse, health visitor and community nurse tutor. She also worked in a therapeutic community in a psychiatric hospital.
In 1983 Nida trained as an Autogenic Trainer with Dr Wolfgang Luthe before training in the other branches of Autogenic Therapy (Meditation and Neutralisation) and in Dr Luthe’s Creativity Mobilisation Technique.
Nida is also a qualified Person Centred Counsellor, Transpersonal Psychotherapist and a Person Centred Expressive Arts Therapist.
However, Nida’s real passion lies in all branches of Autogenic Therapy and with Creativity Mobilisation Technique. This stems both from her personal experience of these and from the benefits she has seen clients obtain from them. She is particularly drawn to them because they follow the client’s process and are ultimately self help methods.
She has served on the BAS Executive Committee as Honorary Secretary and was a BAS Training Course tutor and supervisor from 1992 to 2017.
