About Me
As an Autogenic therapist, I respect the principle that ‘you are your own expert’. I offer a safe and supportive setting within which my clients can begin their own unique process of healing and self-knowledge. Autogenic Training is suitable for any age and I run courses for individuals as well as groups. After a nine-week course, my clients leave with an empowering life skill and the tools to continue to practice independently and experience the remarkable benefits of Autogenic Training long term.
I first came across Autogenic Training whilst researching the impacts of stress on health. I immediately recognised the immense value of this as a holistic approach to well-being that encompasses mind and body. I went on to learn AT and train as a therapist, having discovered for myself its unique simplicity and benefits to mental and emotional well being and physical health. I hold a BSc in Psychology and MA in Business, as well as an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. Alongside my private practice as an Autogenic Therapist I work as a counsellor and psychotherapist in two local charities supporting adults and couples in the community.
My professional experience includes working for several years as a management consultant, supporting and empowering individuals and teams in organisations facing major change. I also researched and taught a Mindfulness-based stress management technique that focused on helping clients identify their physical signs of stress. I am a member of the British Psychological Society, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychoanalytic Council. As a member of the British Autogenic Society I am bound by their code of ethics, professional standards and confidentiality.
If you would like to learn more about AT or talk about how you might benefit, please get in touch.
